We are pleased to announce the winners of our Fast Fashion competition.
Joint first place went to Christine Greaves, Frankwell Little Boro' WI and Jules Spille, Norbury & District WI.
Christine says"This costume with a bustle was made from a wedding dress I was given and charity shop curtains. The hat a charity shop find decorated with recycled fabrics and ribbons. The buttons made of mother of pearl given to me by an elderly neighbour.”
Jules says “The dressing gown is made with a 1970s pattern. I was given a bag of assorted fabric bits from a house clearance, so decided to make it as a patchwork. I bought a cotton curtain from a charity shop to use as the lining, cuffs and belt.”
